Jiangxi province in China is located at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River about 350 miles east to the coast of East China Sea It is neighbouring Fujian province on the east, Guangdong on the south, Hunan on the west, and Hubei on the north, and Zhejiang on the northeast. Jiangxi has a long history and brilliant culture. It belonged to Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and the Qin Dynasty established Jiujiang Prefecture. It was an important area in the south of the Yangtze River from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, and a commercial center in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties. It has undergone changes in modern times and is now a cultural province. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous province. The province has a population around 45.2 millions and yearly GDP abount $450.80 billions USD. It’s capital city is 南昌(Nanchang). The major industries in the province are: Nonferrous metal industry, electronic information, medicine, automobile, aviation, food. The major cities in the province are: Nanchang(南昌), Jiujiang(九江), Shangrao(上饶), Ganzhou(赣州), Yichun(宜春), Jingdezhen(景德镇). The province also has many attractive sightseeing places like Lushan Mountain(庐山), Sanqing Mountain(三清山), Tengwang Pavilion(滕王阁), Wugong Mountain(武功山), Wuyuan Huangling(婺源篁岭), Jingdezhen Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Expo Area(景德镇古窑民俗博览区), Wangxian Valley(望仙谷), Wunuzhou Resort(婺女洲度假区).
