Jiangxi province in China is located at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River about 350 miles east to the coast of East China Sea It is neighbouring Fujian province on the east, Guangdong on the south, Hunan on the west, and Hubei on the north, and Zhejiang on the northeast. Jiangxi has a long history and brilliant culture. It belonged to Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and the Qin Dynasty established Jiujiang Prefecture. It was an important area in the south of the Yangtze River from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, and a commercial center in the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
