Fuzhou city in China is located on the north shore of the Min Jiang in Fujian about 20 miles east to the Taiwan Strait. The city is formerly known as Rongcheng. It has a long history and is an important gateway to the Maritime Silk Road. It has a rich cultural heritage and is known as “Three Mountains and One Water”. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous provincial capital. The city has a population around 8.5 millions and yearly GDP about $180.60 billions USD. The famous traditional products produced by the city are: Fuzhou Jasmine Tea (福州茉莉花茶), Yongtai Dried Plums (永泰芙蓉李干), Pingtan Narcissus (平潭水仙花), Seven Realms Tea (七境茶), and Lianjiang Abalone (连江鲍鱼). The city also has many attractive sightseeing places like Pingtan Island(平潭岛), Three Squares and Seven Alleys (三坊七巷), Yantaishan Park(烟台山公园), Fuzhou City Forest Trail(福道), Drum Mountain (鼓山), Fujian Museum(福建博物馆), Xichan Temple (西禅寺), West Lake Park(西湖公园), Fuzhou Ocean World(福州欧乐堡海洋世界), Fuzhou National Forest Park(福州国家森林公园).
