Hangzhou city in China is located on the north shore of Qiantang River about 45 miles east to the Hangzhou Bay of the East China Sea. The city has a long history. It was established as a county in the Qin Dynasty, became a famous county in the southeast during the Tang Dynasty, and was designated as the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. It has the reputation of being a “paradise on earth” and is one of the seven ancient capitals of China. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous provincial capital.
