Exhibition City-Nanning

Nanning city in China is located at the middle reaches of the Yong Jiang (邕江) that flows into the Xi Jiang of the Pearl River in the neigbouring province Guangdong It is also on the new canal (Pinglu Canal平陆运河) flowing 60 miles south to the Beibu Gulf (北部湾) of the South China Sea. The city was formerly known as Yongzhou. It was built in the Han Dynasty, developed during the Tang and Song Dynasties, was an important town in Guangxi in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and gradually became the political, economic and cultural center of Guangxi. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous provincial capital. The city has a population around 8.9 millions and yearly GDP about $76.58 billions USD. The famous traditional products produced by the city are: Laoyou Vermicelli (老友粉), Hengxian Jasmine (横县茉莉花), Shanglin Star Anise (上林八角), Nanning Dragon Fruit (南宁火龙果), Hengxian Sweet Corn (横县甜玉米), Shanglin Rice (上林大米), Nanshan White Tea (南山白毛茶), and Binyang Bamboo Weaving (宾阳竹编). The city also has many attractive sightseeing places like Qingxiu Mountain (青秀山), Yangmei Ancient Town (扬美古镇), Nanning Zoo (南宁市动物园), Fengling Children’s Park (凤岭儿童公园), Daming Mountain (大明山), Nanhu Park (南湖公园), Yiling Rock (伊岭岩), Folk Song Lake (民歌湖), Guangxi National Museum (广西民族博物馆), and Jiuquwan Hot Spring (九曲湾温泉).
