Shijiazhuang city in China is located on the high speed train line from Beijing to Guangzhou It is about 150 miles northeast to Beijing and 150 miles east to the coast of Bohai Wan (渤海湾). Shijiazhuang is formerly known as Shimen. It developed from a small village and became a modern industrialized city due to the rise of railways.
