In the last 25 years, China has invested and built a lot of infrastructure. They facilitate the growth and expansion of the Chinese economy. The highways and railways deliver people and goods to the destination. The ports export the cargoes overseas. The metros bring people to work and places. The hydro dams generate and supply electricity to the cities and factories. All and all, the infrastructures support the growth of the nation and its economy. It is a vital part of China’s modernization.
Most of China’s population are living in the cities. The cities are modern and prosperous. Naturally, half of the top ten high risers in the world are built in China. The country is also called the factory of the world. It makes many of the products and trades with most countries in the world. They build and modernize giangentic seaports and send cargoes overseas. They have seven of the top 10 seaports in the world. Most of the ports are totally autonomous. Another fun fact is China has eight of the top ten tallest bridges and eight of the top ten longest bridges in the world. Just one province, Guizhou, alone has five top ten bridges because of its geological karst landform. Undoubtedly, China has earned its nickname “infrastructure maniac” because of its prowess in large scale construction, finance, and execution.
