Shandong province in China is located at the estuary of Yellow River on the coast of Bohai Bay Part of the province is a peninsula with the Bohai Sea on the north side and the Yellow Sea on the east side On land, it is neighbouring Jiangsu province on the south, Henan on the west, and Hebei on the north. Shandong Province has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. It is the hometown of Confucius and has a profound cultural heritage. It has gone through many millenniums and witnessed the changes and development of Chinese civilization. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous province. The province has a population around 101 millions and yearly GDP abount $1.29 trillions USD. It’s capital city is 济南(Jinan). The major industries in the province are: Agriculture, petrochemicals, steel, nonferrous metals, machinery, shipping, automobiles, tourism, and financial services. The major cities in the province are: Jinan(济南), Qingdao(青岛), Zibo(淄博), Yantai(烟台), Weifang(潍坊).
