The major industries in the province are: Semiconductor industry, Electronics manufacturing, Precision machinery, Industrial control equipment, Petrochemical industry, Rubber industry, New energy, Biomedicine, and textile. The major cities in the province are: Taipei(台北), Kaohsiung(高雄), Taoyuan(桃园), Tainan(台南), Changhua County(彰化县). The province also has many attractive sightseeing places like Sun Moon Lake(日月潭), National Palace Museum(台北故宫博物院), Alishan(阿里山), Kenting National Park(垦丁国家公园), Yehliu Geopark(野柳地质公园), Taipei 101(台北101大楼), Eluanbi Park(鹅銮鼻公园), Taroko National Park(太鲁阁国家公园), Cingjing Farm(清境农场), and Ximending(西门町).
