Shenzhen city in China is located on the east shore of the Zhujiang River Estuary on the northern border of the city of Hong Kong. Shenzhen was originally a small fishing village. In 1979, a special economic zone was established and it has rapidly developed into a modern international metropolis, a window for reform and opening up, and a pilot demonstration zone.
