Exhibition Province-Hubei

Hubei Province is located in central China, bordering Anhui to the east, Jiangxi and Hunan to the south, Chongqing to the west, Henan to the north, and about 800 miles from Shanghai. The provincial capital, Wuhan, is an important city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Hubei has a long history and is the birthplace of Chu culture, with rich historical relics. The population is about 59 million and the annual GDP is about US$780 billion. The five major cities in the province include Wuhan武汉, Huangshi黄石, Xiangyang襄阳, Yichang宜昌 and Jingzhou荆州. Hubei’s major industries include automobile manufacturing, steel, electronic information, biomedicine and tourism. It is an important point in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and has strong economic vitality.
