Exhibition City-Tianjin

Tianjin city in China is located on the coast of Bohai Wan(渤海湾) It is about 60 miles northwest to Beijing. The city, formerly known as Jingu, is located at the confluence of the Haihe River. It rose during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and became an important commercial port and industrial base in the north in modern times. It is known as the “Venice of the North”. Nowaday, it is a modern and prosperous direct administrative city. The city has a population around 13.6 millions and yearly GDP about $233.80 billions USD. The famous traditional products produced by the city are: Tianjin Mahua(天津麻花), Zhang clay figurine sculpture(泥人张彩塑), Yangliuqing New Year paintings(杨柳青年画), Erduoyan fried cake(耳朵眼炸糕), Panshan Mopan persimmon(盘山磨盘柿), Lutaichun wine(芦台春酒), Sangzi watermelon(桑梓西瓜), Xiaozhan rice(小站稻米), Tianjin chestnut(天津板栗), and Goubuli steamed stuffed buns(狗不理包子). The city also has many attractive sightseeing places like TEDA Aircraft Carrier Theme Park(泰达航母主题公园), National Maritime Museum(国家海洋博物馆), Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel(天津之眼摩天轮), Porcelain House(瓷房子), Haihe River(海河), Tianjin Fantawild Happy World(天津方特欢乐世界), Jingyuan(静园), Zhang Xueliang’s Former Residence(张学良故居), Tianjin Polar Ocean Park(天津极地海洋公园), and Wudadao(五大道).
